A timber scarcity has gripped the design sector with suppliers having difficulties to hold up with demand from homebuilders.  

The Development, Forestry, Mining and Power Union sent a letter to the federal authorities this week demanding an urgent assembly to address the lack.  

The forestry business requires to supply 2.1million cubic metres of timber framing just to fulfill design demand this 12 months.

‘Otherwise, what will take place is that not only will we not deal with the recent disaster that we have, this disaster will get a good deal worse,’ he informed the ABC.
